ASI Elections Online March 21-24

ASI will soon be conducting student government elections on-line via the internet. The Associated Students has contracted with Big Pulse USA, Incorporated to provide the technology and platform for conducting the election.

During the election period of March 21 - 24, a link to the on-line ballot will be sent to your preferred e-mail address as indicated on your “My CSULB” page. Only currently enrolled students who are eligible to vote will receive this e-mail.

Please be advised that individuals found to be in violation of campus computer access policies will be subject to immediate disciplinary action. Violations, which include any attempt to alter the outcome of an online student referendum or student body election by illegally accessing the computer system or any attempt to cast multiple ballots through the computer system for the purpose of altering the outcome of said referendum or election, will be subject to immediate disciplinary action. Disciplinary action may include, but is not limited to, suspension or expulsion from the university.

In preparation for the election, we ask that you note the following:
  • Please make sure that the preferred e-mail address indicated on your “My CSULB” page is current and accurate.
  • Make sure that your e-mail in-box is not full and is capable of receiving messages.
  • The e-mail from Associated Students will contain a link to a particular ballot based on your college of major (or undeclared status). Please make sure that your university records reflect your current major. If you are going to change the college of your major, please do so no later than Friday, March 11 to ensure that you receive the correct ballot.
  • The link will take you directly to an on-line ballot hosted on the Big Pulse USA web server. The ballot will contain instructions for voting, links to candidates’ statements and pictures (if provided by the candidates), and links to arguments for or against referenda or initiatives (if any).
  • When you complete the ballot, a receipt will be generated and sent to your e-mail address confirming that your vote was received.
  • If you don’t receive the e-mail or encounter any problems that affect your ability to vote, please contact the Associated Students at asi@csulb.edu. You will receive additional information and instructions depending upon the nature of the problem.
