We want your videos - serious videos. The videos should be from 30-90 seconds long via web cam, personal camera, or professional camera (if you have one). To qualify for the IPOD SHUFFLE there needs to be an absolute minimum of 50 (THAT’S RIGHT! 50) video submissions, 10 coming from each category that you can pick from (see below).
We will keep track of the submissions and when all the requirements have been met, we will make the announcement that all qualifications have been met and we will then have a drawing from those who have made a legitimate (meaning serious) submission and one lucky winner will get an IPOD SHUFFLE! (You should like the CAPS, I mean an IPOD SHUFFLE for a video?? Easy stuff!!)
We want to hear your stories! The categories to choose from are:
1. Personal Hardships (Consequences of Paying your Student Loan and making a living)
2. Lack of Student Loan Protections (consolidation, refinancing, bankruptcy, transfers)
3. Student Loan Collection Practices (i.e. phone calls, disturbing letters, threats..etc)
4. Solutions you may have to fix the broken student loan lending market and/ or Higher education system
5. What you would do with the money saved from forgiven student loans and when you would anticipate using these savings. (i.e. start a family, invest, buy a home, buy a new car, get married, have kids, get an even higher degree)
These videos will be used as promotional material for FSLD to help spread the word to elected officials and to help other prospective students make educated decisions when financing their higher education. There may also be featured profiles set up on FSLD’s website (upon permission by the submitter).
Simple Rules:
1. Keep it clean! We want to be as professional as possible. So be mindful of what you are saying.
2. Keep it calm! We are all rational adults and do not need to be overly emotional about these topics, no matter how angry they make you or how upset.
3. Keep it sane! Your video should have a meaning and be concise. Try not to go off on tangents or act like an uneducated boob!
4. Keep on time! The minimum time is 30 seconds the maximum is 90 seconds.
5. Mark your calendars! Submissions begin Monday, May 9, 2011 at 8:00am and end Monday, July 4, 2011 at 8:00pm.

Winner will be notified via Facebook message and an announcement will then be made as a Facebook status, a tweet, and on the FSLD website.
You can also DOUBLE your chances of winning the IPOD Shuffle by making a donation of $5 or more to FSLD. (Meaning you will get one more entry in the drawing). Donations can be made by clicking the paypal "Donate" button on the right column of forgivestudentloandebt.com.
Only one submission per person will be considered for the IPOD SHUFFLE prize. You are more than welcome to submit more than one video, however, only one video will be entered in the drawing (unless you made a donation, in which case, 2).
Winner will have to claim prize by clicking here. Failure to claim prize within one week of notification will automatically forfeit prize and another drawing will be held. (so don’t be lazy!)
Good Luck and remember - your videos will have a meaningful impact for FSLD even if you are not the winner of the IPOD SHUFFLE. Make your voices heard!
